What Comes After AI?

We already live in the age of the AI wars — companies worldwide racing to develop and deploy, believing the master of AI masters the next era. We use AI aggressively ourselves. But a leader must always think about what comes next. After AI, I believe, comes quantum technology.

The world is entering computational territory that human power alone can never handle — and drug discovery, materials development, biological analysis, the very fields where we stand, should be among its greatest beneficiaries. So we aim to apply quantum technology to the theme of health within ten years.

From our current size, that may sound presumptuous. But remember: the future's time flows toward the present. When the same future arrives, a company scrambling to catch up and a company that drew it on its blueprint ten years earlier stand in utterly different positions. You cannot catch a wave you start paddling for after you see it.
