Our Dream for Food and Agriculture
Among our dreams is the field of food and agriculture. Why does a cosmetics company speak of farmland? Trace how our daily meals, foods, and drinks come to be, and you always arrive at the same place: soil. Its condition, its nutrients, its cultivation — the roots of food quality all return to the earth.
For a company that began its thinking from raw materials, this is the same philosophy extended: as what touches skin is determined by ingredients, what enters the mouth is determined by soil. And there is the sea — warming waters where fish grow scarce. What we can do about it is not yet in our hands.
But a company that declares "health is the starting point of life" cannot avert its eyes from the future of food, health's very foundation. Not a quick profit — but picture the dinner tables of children a hundred years from now, and it is homework that must begin today. A dream is homework with a distant deadline.
