To the Boy Who Never Knew How to Study

As a boy, I simply could not study. I read without understanding; I failed at arithmetic. Looking back, I wasn't unintelligent — I had never been taught how to learn. So I poured myself into sports, where effort visibly converted into results. As an adult I realized: there are almost no "children who can't."

There are only children who haven't yet met their way of learning. I met English not in a classroom but through play with Canadian friends — and went on to graduate from a Canadian college.

This is exactly why we want to enter education and brain science: to build environments where every person meets their own way, and their own excitement.
