The Road to Trainer for the National Team
As a young working adult, he spent two years walking the rails — excited only by nights out. Then a magazine article: a judo-therapist serving as an Olympic trainer. His thought: "I hold the same license. I could do that — no, I absolutely will."
He saw the article in late July; by early September he had joined that trainer's clinic group, a newcomer among twenty apprentices. Years later he truly became a trainer for Japan's national team — traveling the country monthly, joining overseas expeditions.
What closed the distance from a magazine page to the national team was not talent but the heat of the moment he decided, and the speed of moving within a month. Resolutions live on freshness; delay, and reasons-you-can't multiply. When your heart shouts, strike the first blow within a month.
