Ready to Challenge the World

I once counted calmly: our leadership team is unexpectedly well- equipped for the world. Myself — four years and eight months in Canada, then global business at a perfume maker. A CFO with thirteen years stationed in Singapore, seasoned against international investors.

An executive who traveled the world with Japan's national team; another who negotiated across Europe as a designer. For a company that began as a small provincial business, an outward-facing team. But our greatest equipment is not the résumés — it is that every one of us has risen from the bottom.

In global expansion the unexpected always strikes: walls of culture, systems, sudden change. What works then is not language skill but the experience score of setbacks. Those who have seen the bottom do not flinch at foreign walls; they laugh —"the unexpected is the norm" — and play the next move. The equipment is ready.

The ship is already out on the world's sea called Nasdaq. All that remains is to row.

What do you work for?
