A Team That Enjoys Overcoming Walls

Our Senior Managing Director wrote these words for future companions: "Honestly, our strength may not yet fully merit the pride of a listed company. But turned over, that means our room to grow — our blank canvas — is enormous. The walls will keep multiplying. But it's all right: we are a team that enjoys climbing over walls."

I love the honesty — a listed company's senior director publicly admitting strength "may not yet suffice," where most would posture, then re-reading the weakness as an enormous canvas. And the final sentence has become our team's definition: not a team without walls, but a team that enjoys climbing them.

The walls will keep coming — and having chosen to challenge the world, we count their number as pride. Walls do not rise before low goals; the height of the wall before you is proof of the height you aim for. Does your team enjoy its walls?
