From Material to Product: A Working Example
A working example for The Book of Value, Chapter 1: how a material concept travels through research, sourcing, manufacturing and branding inside the BIOT group.
The short answer
Inside the BIOT group, a product concept moves through a defined chain: materials research identifies a candidate ingredient or formulation; HIROKI GLOBAL handles sourcing; ARTISANS PRODUCTION manufactures; INSTINCT RAS builds the brand and marketing. Because each stage is a group company, specifications, quality criteria and feedback travel without leaving the group — the practical form of the value chain described in Chapter 2.
Stage 1: materials research
The starting point is materials knowledge. Research into advanced materials, including regenerative medicine-related technologies, yields differentiation candidates for cosmetics and wellness products. Its outputs become the specification basis for every later stage.
