The Book of Value

The philosophy of Value Village, upgraded by the holding company BIOT as the official group constitution.

MANIFESTO

We do not exist to change the world. We exist to make one person's life even a little better.

One smile changes a family. A family changes a community. A community changes society. Our final goal is not to open more stores around the world. It is to increase the number of lives lived with value.

The Book of Value upgrades the constitution of Value Village — operated by wholly owned subsidiary INSTINCT BROTHERS — into the constitution of the entire BIOT group, the Nasdaq-listed holding company. Four parts: WHY, THE WAY, THE VILLAGE and THE FUTURE.

PART I

WHY

We do not exist to sell products. What we truly seek to create is a culture in which people live better. Beauty is one way to nurture that culture. Health is another. As the holding company, BIOT carries this question as the purpose of the entire group.

PART II

THE WAY

Culture is born not from rules, but from principles. The 12 Principles of Value Village are, unchanged, the operating principles of every company in the BIOT group.

  1. 01

    People Before Products

  2. 02

    Health Is the Foundation

  3. 03

    Trust Takes Time

  4. 04

    Community Creates Value

  5. 05

    Learn Forever

  6. 06

    Respect Nature

  7. 07

    Think Generations

  8. 08

    Every Person Matters

  9. 09

    Grow Together

  10. 10

    Build Culture Before Cities

  11. 11

    Leave a Legacy

  12. 12

    Live With Purpose

PART III

THE VILLAGE

One smile changes a family. A family changes a community. A community changes society. BIOT vertically integrates research, sourcing, manufacturing and branding so that the quality of value reaching each person is assured inside the group. The Village is the community that the entire value chain builds.

PART IV

THE FUTURE

Our final goal is not to open more stores around the world. It is to increase the number of lives lived with value. From beauty to health, from health to food, education and community — and onward to building towns centered on health. Not for the next quarter, but for the next generation.
